Wedding and Party Entertainment

Sara has played many weddings and posh parties with her AMAZING band, Sara Spade and the Noisy Boys.   You can find more about them here at saraspade.com

A quick note to convey our thanks and admiration to you, Sara, and the band for your outstanding contribution to our wedding. With all your help ‘around the edges’ you proved yourselves not only a group of very talented musicians with a highly professional approach, but also a really nice bunch of people.
The music on the day – chic and artful, but full of vim and vigour – was a delight and the perfect tonic to our rustic wedding in a countryside idyll on a lazy sunny afternoon. We hope you enjoyed the day only half as much as we did.
Ted and Jo
Thanks for being part of our special day. Everyone had a great time with the ukuleles and loved your music.
Abi and Dan
Just had to write to say thanks for your beautiful music on our wedding day! Everyone enjoyed it so much and although we had booked you to play throughout dinner, we wished we had booked you for the evening too because we just wanted to get up and dance!
Helena and Edward
Dear Sara, Pippa Maclaran here, Helena’s mother. I wanted to thank you and your band for the fantastic entertainment you put on for us at The Garden Museum on Sat 3rd August. Helena and Eddie’s wedding was the most happy and relaxed affair and it was thanks to you for setting the tone right at the start in the Knot Garden. You were all so stylish and professional and your voice terrific.
Our guests all enjoyed your choice of music, some well known and some new songs. We had so many compliments and we wish we could do it all over again. Now Michael and I are enjoying listening to your CD a lovely reminder of a special day! With many thanks and all good wishes.

Singalong At Retirement Homes

Sara doesn’t often perform solo although she has provided quite a few sing-alongs for retirement clubs, care homes and even a few WWI centenary special events and concerts. Reminiscence therapy for the elderly is a cause close to Sara’s heart. “I have had some of the most heart warming experiences working with the retired and elderly’. The most memorable was probably when a 96 year old Royal Air Force officer who had previously been telling me all about his plane being gunned down during WWII started singing along with me and then got up to do the Charleston”!  A mixture of vintage songs from the 1920s to the 1950s, as well as her own beautiful original love songs, bring a light-hearted and romantic touch.  Classic nostalgia.

‘The residents just LOVE Sara and the music she brings into our 30 villages and schemes across the UK. She is fun and colourful, sensitive and caring and I’ve seen so many of our residents come out of themselves at her performances and ukulele workshops. They are always asking to know when The Ukulele Lady is coming again!’
Donna Ball, Events Manager - Extracare Charitable Trust, Nationwide tour (retirement villages and schemes)
‘It was a lovely afternoon, we all enjoyed it very much. I have had some great feedback from the residents. I think they would like you to come every week!’
Maggie Dilks, Activities Co-ordinator - Sharnbrook House, Bedfordshire (care home)
‘Sara and the band gave us a wonderful night of entertainment to round off our Cruise themed event. Residents, volunteers and staff said it was truly a night to remember hearing so many old tunes along with some new ones. Perfect evening and we can’t wait to have them all back again very soon.’
Gillian Crosswell, Activities Co-ordinator - Sunley Court Retirement Village, Kettering

Roving Entertainment

Sara can provide roving acoustic entertainment for your dinner or cocktail party, playing to small groups as she perambulates the room! (Top marks for getting that word in there)?
